1980s Original Egyptian Papyrus Painting of Wine Making Vinyard Grapes
From my smoke-free, pet-free home. I purchased this painting on papyrus during a trip to Egypt in 1980 and had it professionally framed upon my return to the USA. It's a copy of an ancient work, reproduced by hand for the tourist market. The image depicts various steps of the wine making process -- picking grapes from a vinyard trellis, stomping grapes in a vat, and collecting the grape juice the pours out of the vat.
The simple black frame measures approximately 21" x 16.5". The art piece itself is about 16" x 11" and sits atop the mat rather than below it, so the edges can show.
Condition - From my smoke-free, pet-free home. Professionally framed with a solid backer board behind the artwork for stability. The frame is solid, and the glass is free of chips or cracks. The paper backing on the frame shows some light wear and a small hole, but the solid backer board that framer used prevents damage to the artwork.
I have a total of 5 Egyptian pictures listed, all the same size but depicting different images. Please message me prior to purchase if you are interested in buying 2 or more so I can prepare a discounted listing for you.
