Dating from the 1800's. Antique solid cast iron double inkwell. Intricate raised designs on all surfaces other than the bottom contact surface.This artistic looking antique ink well measures 8 1/2" long x 5 1/2" wide x 4" high as above the ink wells are pen holders. One glass ink well with a hinged silver plate lid which is not the original ink well as the bottom circles on the frame are hinged and meant to be ink well covers. Excellent condition with ordinary wear and aging and the tiniest nick on one corner of the ink well ... so tiny it likely will not show up in photos and is easily buffed out. One previous owner only.
