Bernie Wrightson Frank Frazetta Jeff Jones Mike Kaluta Comic Art Portfolios LOT
On top of the two pallets of long boxes in storage are a couple dozen short boxes and misc. sized boxes, some magazine sized, etc. I grabbed four of them from the very top of the short boxes and photographed some of the contents. I used to live down the road from Frank Frazetta for a few years in East Stroudsburg, PA. so there is quite a bit of material about him. I don\'t think I have any doodles left from Frank, but there will be at least one nice Krenkel original, some William Stout, Kaluta, George Pratt, etc. Again, these are short boxes that are part of the collection, but weren\'t included in the total count numbers. I still have no idea what the final count will be. The plan for this week is to move all the boxes to my garage, and get you some more definitive numbers.
13,000+ comics plus various odds and ends including original art, prints, posters., portfolios, hardcovers, collections, tpb\'s.Bernie Wrightson Horror 50 Long box Comic Book Collection CGC House of Secrets 61 92 LOT. I\'m going through the boxes one at a time and will list a few key books from each box, plus obvious trends. Horror was key for me, Odd-Ball first appearances as well, Phantom Stranger, Animal Man, Swamp Thing, Man Thing. You are buying every comic book I own which is 50+ Long Boxes Gold, Silver, Bronze, Copper, Modern - Comic Book Collection with 1st Appearances by SWAMP THING, MAN-THING, THE DOOM PATROL, ENEMY ACE, UNKNOWN SOLDIER, SILVER-AGE SCARECROW, IT\'S A LONG LONG LIST! I was very heavy into Swamp Thing multiple copies of many books including Swamp Thing 1st Series #1-10, 2nd series multiple copies of Alan Moore Books. I very actively collected the works of The Studio artists, so there is a LOT of material from them: Bernie Wrightson,. Jeffrey Jones, Michael Kaluta, Barry Windsor-Smith plus other contemporaries of theirs: Neal Adams, Frank Frazetta, etc. There is a stack of World Without End unsigned portfolios from 1980 from Jeff Jones I\'ll toss in as well, plus their art books, prints, signed comics - all those things.I started collecting comics, art and magazines in 1979 and then continued collected on and off until around 2010, but then occasionally again when nostalgia would set in - or ALSO once I saw that in the future - all those long boxes of specific superheroes or groups would see an increase of value now that the fan-base is larger from movie influences. If you like the Marvel movies, then there are thousands of Thor, Iron Man, Avengers, those sort of things. However, first and foremost - I was an odd-duck collector, fascinated with DC War, Western, Horror, Showcase, Hero and odd-ball titles. I also loved Dell Photo-cover and Duck books. This may take a while to get more details, but we\'re looking at, safely 13,000 books - possibly as many as 16,000+ books. Time will tell. I\'ll put together long boxes of keys and lists of the CGC books. Most of these have been in storage for 25+ years, but off the top of my head, multiple copies of Swamp Thing 1-10 plus CGC Graded copies of HOS #61, #92,Savage Tales #1. Plus Silver age keys My Greatest Adventure #80, etc.
I will keep going through the boxes one at a time till this sells. My books were never in order, so I am going to be listing multiples of the same books which I bought over and over again.CGC Books:
