Early 1900's Pipestone Indian Smoke Pipe with Tally Marks Modern Made #222:
I purchased this Elbow Pipe as an authentic Indian artifact and it had a small paper in the bowl reading Scioto Co. Ohio but it is not an authentic artifact. Although it does show some signs of age I believe that it was made during the early 1900's and it shows tally marks along the stem with a ring around the bowl. It appears to be made of Pipestone or similar material and it is a beautiful Pipe with no damage/in excellent condition. It measures 4 1/4" long x 1 5/8" tall x 1 1/16" wide. The color is sort of a wavy yellowish tan with darker tan gray color. Very pretty Pipe and if I smoked this would be the type of pipe that I would use. It fits well in the hand and one that you would enjoy holding. I will accept 14 day no questions asked returns but after 14 days the pipe belongs to you unless prior arrangements have been made. Please don't purchase this pipe in an attempt to get it certified. I can provide a report of this Pipe from Bill Breckinridge of his findings. It just doesn't have that kind of age to it to deem as an authentic artifact. Thanks for looking. Gary
