As the title states and the pictures show a wonderful acid-cutback fully Guaranteed Galle Cameo Glass lamp all original and of the period 1900.. ...Signed Galle both shade and base..Deep acid cut back designs and Vibrant base color of Yellow with raised and Crisp brown flowers pistils leaves and stemsand in perfect condition throughout..This Galle Lamp stands 24" high and is exceptionally beautiful when lit.I paid a great deal 20 years ago at Sotheby's where I bought this GalleAll of my listings are 100% Guaranteed of the period and as described. There is no better price then I can offer since I paid a princely sum back in the 1980s The lamp is 100% perfect with all hardware being originaland guaranteed to be made by Galle. Actually Emile only designed the patterns but was not hands on in the Manufacture of the Art Glass. He had approx 300 workmen at his Factory at the turn of the century and would only OK each piece. If he did, then the workman signed the item Galle.
Some items I have room on to offer discounts and others I just don't...The Galle lamp however is gorgeous, quite large and straight and right. Please beware of excellent reproductions that were made in Romania in the 1980s Their work has fooled quite a bit of dealers.Today you have repros from Poland and China but the work in quite inferior and easy to tell apart from the originals.
