Lux Phinney-Walker Travel Clock:
Lux Phinney-Walker Travel Clock
I was a little surprised when I looked at the back of this clock and saw that Lux was the maker of the movement. I actually thought it was really neat! Anyhow as some things go, the clock isn't working here and when I rock the clock it does tick for a second. Needs a little work to get this one running again. This is a 1936 Phinney-Walker blue imitation leather covered folding case alarm clock made by Lux Clock Mfg. Co. in Waterbury, Conn. U.S.A. Phinney-Walker was founded in 1903. They were a designer and marketer of various styles of clocks, but all manufacturing was done by various clock makers. Prior to WWII they used a variety of Connecticut clock makers including Lux Clock Mfg. Co. After the war, most manufacturing was done in Germany by Semca. The case is blue and is in pretty good shape except a small spot on the bottom where there is a little hole in the covering. The inside of the case is a tan old school material. The dial is a nice off white and has art deco type numbers that are luminous. The hands are luminous as well. This neat little clock needs a home that someone can get it working again. Selling as is ...
