Morrison R. Waite Supreme Court Chief Justice framed signature from Goodspeed's:
Morrison R. Waite – Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, clipped signature along with an antique engraving framed and sold by Goodspeed’s Book Shop of Boston in 1982. The signature appears to a clip from an album or possibly a small card sent in response to an autograph request. The frame has some chips but still worth keeping because of the Goodspeed’s label. Goodspeed’s was one of the leading book shops and autograph dealers in the 20th Century. For serious collectors or collectors interested in the history of collecting this is a nice added bonus to the signature.Waite was appointed to the Court by President Ulysses S. Grant in 1874 and he served until his death in 1888.
