Native American Koshare Clown Kachina Handmade Museum Quality Art Clay Sculpture:
This unique clay art sculpture of a Koshare Clown is fantastically made with stunning real-life-like details. This measures approximately 25 inches in length across at the widest point x 15 inches in height from hand to the top of the horn. There is no signature on this piece, but this was made by Allan R. Bass who currently lives in New Mexico. This exquisite piece was 100% handmade using a style of firing that combines Raku and Pit-firing techniques to achieve an Ancient yet contemporary expression. Allan is an award winning artist. He used the ancient primitive technique of hand coiled clay and materials from the native pueblo land where he formally lived to make the clay and all the parts assembled on this piece. He also used natural dyed paints for this piece. The entire piece is made of clay, including Koshare's boots. This is a ONE-OF-A-KIND piece. Only several were made. The artist is no longer making these pieces. You will not find another piece like this in the entire world. The quality is absolutely exceptional and made to perfection. This is definitely a museum quality piece that is very substantial and heavy. This is in MINT and PRISTINE condition with no nicks, cracks, chips or repairs.
