Jeff Roller is one of the most highly respected artists in Santa Clara Pottery today. As the son of award-winning potter Toni Roller and grandson of famed potter Margaret Tafoya, he was exposed to the finest work in traditional pueblo pottery, and evenbegan making his own pottery at the age of nine. After already establishing himself as an award-winning artist, Jeff quit his job as an engineering technician in 1988 and devoted himself full time to his work as an artist. Jeff continues to make traditional pottery and there is a remarkable attention to the crisp carved lines in his work as well as a evenness to his stone polished surfaces.
