Attention all Marines and Marine Corps patch enthusiasts! This is a FINE reproduction of the Vietnam-era logo patch for 1st Battalion, 4th Marines. These can't be found just anywhere! Not, of course, allowed on the uniform, but worn on all manner of off-duty civilian caps and clothing as novelty items.
First Bn, Fourth Marines has a long, distinguished list of battle honors, including Viet Nam where they served officially from May 1965 to November 1969. They are traditionally part of the Okinawa-based 3rd Marine Division, but in recent years this unit has been reassigned to 1st Marine Division (reinforced.) There is a newer logo based on the 1st MarDiv patch (please Visit my store ) but the patch depicted here commemorates the Vietnam service of the unit. “GOD, COUNTRY, DUTY, CORPS” is the slogan on the patch.
Recent Decades: 1/4 was part of the initial assault in Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. I’m told they were the lead element across the line, and had the most enemy engagements. The route they traveled was known as “Highway Hell!” Back in Iraq as of January 2005, they served in the Najaf area providing security in anticipation of the elections. (Thanks, everyone, for your input!)
This is a BRAND NEW and UNUSED patch. It is NOT a war relic but a recent manufacture item! Note that this is a smaller sized patch, ideal for a ball cap. Embroidered on white twill with cut edge (non-merrowed) and a plastic heat-sealed backing. Colors are clean and bright. See ruler in photo for size comparison.

Messages communicating info about a listed item are appreciated ..... but may not get response quite as fast as a message that requires immediate answer. I do have to prioritize every now and then. ;-)Packaging & Reliability:
My flat-fee shipping structure covers cost of packaging and postage, and is a best-guess estimate for size and weight of items. It's not an exact science. (I have not raised my shipping fees over the years, despite several postal rate increases.) Items ship in zip-closure poly bags to protect from moisture. Patches usually ship as First Class letters, but multiple items may ship together as a parcel.
In my experience, the track record of US Postal Service delivery within the US is practically 100% reliable. I may at my discretion choose tracking and/or insurance for shipments of a certain value. But the best insurance you can have is to make sure you provide a current and correct postal delivery address, and to check your mailbox regularly.
Items ship within 1 business day of receiving payment. Check my response for satisfied customer testimonials!
I always post response after a completed transaction and always appreciate response from satisfied buyers. Normally takes me only a day or two, but sometimes I get behind. Please be patient. Also, if you are dissatisfied in any way, please contact me before posting negative. Maybe there's a misunderstanding, or something we can work out.Return Policy:

Payment (or communication indicating buyer’s intentions) within three (3) business days is appreciated. If no response, a reminder invoice is sent. If I don't hear from a buyer — in any form — after more than ten (10) business days, a case may eventually be filed with ’s Resolution Center to recover the Final Value Fee (’s commission) on a sale not completed. In the case of an sale, this usually results in the item being re-listed. :-(
