Its owner at the time, Wilbur Clark, is prominently featured on both sides.A chip of this type/era is listed as unique in Campiglia & Wells 4th edition price guide. R-9 rarity grade.
This chip easily stands on edge, even on a cloth surface we were able to stand it upright. On one side there is a slight diagonal line visible through the portrait which occurred during manufacture. This can only be seen when viewing from a certain angle. There are other slight variations from the ‘minting’ of the chip, all clearly visible in the photos on this page.
A splendid and rare piece that is certain to only appreciate more interest with the passage of time. We do not have nor have we ever seen any others like it, and very few are known to exist at all.

This example appears to have not been used in regular play. It is in supreme condition with a very pleasing appearance. There is only one visible flaw, about midway between two blue stripes, on the far edge. We have taken great care to show this flaw from several angles, including the ‘on edge’ shot below, where a shallow flake is visible. When viewing from a direct-overhead level it is difficult to see the small notch, which likely occurred sometime in production.
