I have the honor and privilege of selling the collection of an avid and discerning collector of Mauchline Ware consisting of transfer, checker, Parian and tartan ware with a smattering of a few other finishes. I will be listing them in bite size batches over the next several months so that over time collectors can absorb the depth and breadth of the collection. This gentleman amassed an amazing collection of pieces, some of which I have never seen before and I have seen many collectors\' collections over the years. This is a long stemmed wood chalice shaped piece that may have been a match holder, but its true use is unknown. It is made of alternating bands of light and dark woods and has an American transfer, Roundtop From Forge Road, Cairo. Cairo is in the Catskills of New York. It is in excellent overall condition with no visible signs of wear, and no condition problems. The piece measures 4\" tall and the cup is 2\" in Diameter. White spots, if any, are camera glare. Successful buyer is responsible for shipping and insurance and payment must be received within ten (10) business days of the close of the sale or the sale may be voided.
