The one-half gallon jar in the center background was HAND BLOWN, and was made only in 1895. It originally used a metal lid, but was adaptable to use a glass lid later. The quart jar in the right foreground was an early machine-made jar. It was manufactured during the years 1895-1910. It had a zinc lid and a rubber ring to seal it.
