In the mid-to-late 1950s, Coca-Cola utilized remote areasand military outposts in Alaska as early test markets for their experimentalflat-top canning lines. Because production numbers were strictly limitedcompared to major mainland facilities, surviving examples from the Anchorageplant are exceptionally difficult to find and heavily prized by both sodamemorabilia and breweriana collectors.
