Ancient large stone cylinder seal bead. Hand carved animal iconography. This seal also depicts Ouannis, AKA Fish God & also a leaping carp. Ouannis holds the celestial sunflower representing plasmoid instability emanating from conjunction of Saturn, Venus & Mars as visible from Earth in ancient times. Ouannis holds a sceptre in right hand indicating godship. Seen also are Phoenix & Snake plus two antelope creatures. Impression is shown for illustration & is not included with purchase. Likely from period of 2500-1900 BC but not being expert that is not entirely certain. Could be older or somewhat newer.Seals were used by everyone in everyday life for documents, locks, doors, identification and personal jewelry. This seal is ~ 2-7/8" length x ~ 3/4" diameter. ~ 68.6 grams. NOTE: All dimensions approximate to the best of our ability in hand measure. As the item may be somewhat irregular, the largest dimensions are given.There can also be seen remnants of accreted residues on its surface. As shown in photos. AS-IS.
