Weare offering this exceedingly rare and unique solid bronze and hand-blown artglass FLOOR LAMP for sale. It wasmanufactured in the 1990s by the now-defunct Gothic Lighting Company ofPhoenix, Arizona. The company designedand manufactured a variety of bat, dragon, griffin and owl-themed lamps basedon historic art glass and lighting ofthe Loetz Bavarian Art Nouveau period.
Thislamp measures just over 7 ½ feet tall, with a width of 3 feet. The solid bronzebase, embellished with rows of small bats, has a 20” diameter. Each of the fourlarge hanging bronze bats has red glass eyes and measures 19.5” wide. Suspendedfrom the mouth is a hand-blown iridized gold and red, trailed art glass shadein a heart motif. Each is caged with a removeable bronze collar, embellishedwith more bats. Above the four hanging bats are four Notre Dame gargoyles,which support a huge inverted heart-shaped iridized and trailed art glass shadethat crowns the top.
