Collection of 7 religious figures water color, gouache, pen and ink..each 19-1/2 x 3-1/2 inches each paintingattached to a matting but coming loose. Probably easy to remove from matting or just frame as is. No frame includedThese renderings were painted prior to executing a stained glass window(s) for a Catholic German Church, but I am not aware of which one. The artist was a German Master, Rudolph Heinrich Buenz . I acquired these from his estate in Northern NJ at the passing of his wife a few years agoThe middle figure was Saint Henry, the Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire circa 1000Saint Henry \'s notation at bottom, is Prudence, and there is a written descriptionThere is a description at bottom of each figureStarting on right: Saint James, Justice; Saint Stephen, Fortitude; Saint Matthew Temperance; (there is a figure under this saint which is hidden under Saint Matthew) probably changed to saint before final approval of window design;Saint John, Charity; Saint Paul Hope; Saint Peter Faith
