North Suburban Boston 1964-1965 Telephone Directory with Malden District Yellow Pages-Journey back in time 60+ years ago when local numbers in Boston only had 617 for an area code, telephone books were annually delivered to your home, and you could easily find a telephone number without paying. Did I mention, you can also view advertisements from companies that are no longer doing business. Quite a blast from the past.
This Telephone Book is about Good to Very Good Condition. It is structurally sound but has brown pages. The cover, which has retained ok color, and all internal pages, are firmly attached. The front and back cover corners have wear and rounding; the front cover has fading in various areas (particularly at the top right-hand corner and edge), there is a full-length crease near the center that extends from the top to bottom edge, the left-hand edge has blotches/staining in various areas, the spine has a reader's crease; the bottom center area has an indent; after the inside coverthe insertion sheet for the next Directory was removed; about 1/3rd of the pages have staining - which recedes page by page - at the top and right-hand edges; the last few internal pages have chipped and/or creased top outer corners; the back cover top left-hand corner has some creasing - the largest is approx. 1", there is color fading at the top portion, the center has a circular stain under "WXY", the bottom right-hand edge has an approx. 3/4" tear with paper loss.
All-in-all, loads and loads of information with ads from a by-gone era.
