A Simplified Historical Overview Of King Menkaure

Menkaure is an Egyptian king from the Fourth Dynasty during the Old Kingdom. Son of King Khafre, King of Egypt. And his name means: β€œLet his kata remain like Ra.” He married Princess Khamar Nebti II. In the mortuary temple of Menkaure, a knife made of flint was found, inscribed with the name of the king's mother, called Khamar Nebti the First, indicating that Khafre and this queen are Menkaure's parents. It is believed that Menkaure had two wives: Queen Khamar Nebti the second, who is the daughter of Khamar Nebti the first, and the mother of the king's son, who is called Kho Enre. The location of Khu Enre's tomb indicates that he is the son of Menkaure, and indicates that his mother is the king's wife. Queen Rekhet-Ra is known as the daughter of Khafre, and that the most nominated person as her husband is from Kao-Ra. And there are not many children who are believed to be the sons of Menkaure: Khu Inre is the son of Queen Khamer Nebti II. He is the eldest son of the king from Kaure, who died before his father, and therefore did not ascend to the throne, while the youngest son, Shepseskaf, succeeded his father on the throne. Shepseskaf is the next ruler of Menkaure, who was probably his son. Sekhemre found a statue of him, and it is likely that he was the son of Menkaure. A daughter who died at the beginning of puberty is mentioned by Herodotus. Kaos was a potential daughter of the king by Kaure. The royal court also included half-brothers of King Menkaure. The brothers Neb-Im-akhet, Dua-In-Ra, Nicaure and Iun-Min held the position of minister during their brother's rule. While the brother, Sekhemkare, may have been younger and became a minister after Menkaure's death. Some writers place the date of his rule between the years 2532 BC. And 2504 BC, that is, 28 years, but the Turin papyrus says that he ruled for 18 years, which is the closest to health if we take into account the many incomplete statues of him. He built the third largest pyramid in Giza and built his pyramid next to the pyramids of his grandfather and his father, Khufu and Khafre.
