This is a magnificent French Sevres Porcelain Cobalt Blue Large Covered Box with Gold Ornate & Bronze, circa 1880. The lid of the box features a hand painted lovers scene signed by Galpis and along the body are decorations of floral motifs. Interior features finely detailed floral design. The cobalt blue background color is decorated with raised gold around the box. Marks on the bottom. Measures 34 cm long by 23 cm wide by 14 cm high.
